Unlike a desktop computer, Laptops/notebooks are portable - one of the main features why people are attracted towards it. But these notebooks don’t come cheap. Compared to desktops they are very expensive and sensitive machines. They need special protection and because of it portability it requires even more care as you may need to carry your laptop to places where syou go and there might be different physical risks involved. You can carry a laptop just as it is by your hands but that’s very chancy of dropping even with a grave caution and also scratches from different objects doesn’t look good on a laptop.
So, Laptop bags are must for every laptop/notebook. Usually, you don’t get a laptop bag while buying a laptop. Frankly speaking, even if they give one for free while buying I don’t trust them. Who knows what kinds of bags they are. The most preferable for me are ones made of Ballistic nylons which are very flexible and widely used in making bullet-proof vests. Other features that one should look for in a Laptop bag is that it has to be water resistant… secondly, the inside has to be soft (so it won’t leave a scratch on the laptop cover) and last but not the least, it has to have compartments for carrying laptop adapters, extra battery, and other stuffs (documents, papers, etc).
In some cases, Laptops are not portable. Specially, business laptops are too heavy and bulky to carry around. Still they need protection for which laptop sleeves are I think is the better choice else laptop shoulder bags should work just fine for most of the typical laptops. With them you can carry around your laptops with ease and without worrying about your laptops getting even a scratch.
