chicago-search-engine-optimization-chicago-seo-digital-third-coast-internet-marketing_1214504662949.png

I love being a critique…point out things in a product or service which I find need attention. Some may think that it’s become my habit but I don’t mind them at all. My views are strictly for the betterment of the product or service. At least I think so.

Anyways, today I come through a SEO service site of Digital Third Coast and I couldn’t help write this post. I went through their site thoroughly. Yes, I read all what they had to say about what they can and are able to do for those who hire their service but the one this that crosses my mind is that there are so many already established SEO and Internet Marketing Service out there who have already built a reputation among people and who rank well in the search engine for keyword such as SEO, Search Engine Optimization, Internet Marketing, SEO service, etc. So, my question is that will this newly established Chicago Search Engine Optimization company be able to survive the fierce world full of competitors and will it firstly be able to SEO its own site to rank on top in major search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. for its major keywords before promising other they can and will rank them well. Because only after that will this company be visible to those who seek for SEO service on the internet. I guess they too might be banging their head to answer this same question.

One thing that I admire though is that you can see this site in the first page for the keyword ‘Chicago Search Engine Optimization’ which is a big achievement for a newly established service but still they have a long way to go if they want to survive the heat of SEO.

I’ve been spending some time investigating the social aspects of gaming since it can become quite a lonely activity playing your Wii or Xbox. How do we fill our social needs, if we have any, without compromising in gaming time? After some hard-boiled thinking and research I’ve reached two concrete solutions. It’s either the internet or Guitar Hero that can bring friends and like-minded together to analyze, compete and hang-out together.

Guitar Hero – collect the whole set

However, Guitar Hero is not automatically the most social game to run on your Wii console. Things can easily become quite dull with the ”Guitar hero” blocking the tv for everybody else while trying to keep up with the rhythm. Even when there’s two guitar and VS mode is available Guitar Hero demands skill and outmost accuracy and therefore can become to internal, not including anyone in a larger group.

But this is not a problem since there is not only one guitar to buy but instruments for a complete band; drum set, base and guitar. Now we’re talking about social gaming, working together and including at least the majority of a group.

The Internet

Then if you find games such as Guitar Hero and Sing Star a bit cheesy, like they are, and want to focus on more kick ass games such as Halo, World of Warcraft and GTA you can, I may already have, turn to the web for help.

There are many online communities allowing member’s access to their game servers and live gaming with and against other members. You might not meet or actually see so many of your interactive buddies but the chat runs hot and it is a fun way to make friends.

By finding professional web hosting that offer game servers you can be a part of large global networks of players and like-minded.

That is perhaps one of the greatest benefits with the internet, the connection with others and the insignificance of geography. You can meet anyone from anywhere on the basis of sharing the same interests and fascination for games.

There are many more ways of integrating social needs and activities with gaming and if you have any ideas please comment below. These examples above is merely to exemplify the possibilities of the gaming community, the fact that we are many who live, eat and sleep for gaming. That is also why we must unite!

I’ve been telling a lot about how internet is growing in size lately and how millions of websites are being launched everyday. Every business house or a person has or is on its way to publish a website. Also, the common trends nowadays are mobile sites often called as WAP (Wire Access Protocol) sites. Mobile site are similar to websites but as they have to be viewed in mobiles and PDAs, their size is reduced to fit the screen of the cell phones. Of course your mobile has to be WAP enabled and then only you can browse the pages from any corner of the world.

Even for people who are into web-designing, it might be confusing on how to make a WAP site. What special programming skill is needed (WAP sites are written in WML-Wireless Markup Language)? How to make the page appear full screen on every mobile and things like that? Well, programmers might read the syntax and create such site but for novices it might be a little difficult. There is a solution though for all this - Mobilemo which has come up with an innovative, user-friendly platform enabling people to create and manage their very own mobile sites the way they like it.

setup-page.gif

The site is very interactive, easy to use, with each step briefly discussed and with lots of possibilities towards design and innovatong making it effortless for even a newbie to create a mini-website that actually reflects your interest and personality for your mobile phones. But though the site is simple, its end products are not. Your mobile site doesn’t have to plain text WAP site. The customizable color schemes, background templates, image insertion and other tools available here make sure that your mini-site is as attractive and flashy as web pages that one sees over the PC.

Mobile sites are the new ways to express you intentions, advertisement, promotions and marketing. So, its better you go with the flow before you’re behind everyone else. Start with something really small for now, think big for future.

It’s a little bit out of the track but today I just decided to blog about another blog … a new start. Still, I’m keeping everything under technology and computer stuffs. I don’t want to ruin my niche writing about something really stupid like some credit card, payday loans or some other things that my readers don’t prefer to read about in my blog.

stylpe.pngActually, I struck upon this blog by Stylish Web Design as I was looking for some information on user accounts in Windows Vista because I was much used to Xp previously and I had to configure User Account Control in my Laptop which has Vista as its operating system. This techno design blog was a big help to me and I couldn’t help refer this blog to my readers as it’s all about sharing the knowledge one has with others who need it, isn’t it? It has really got some good stuff on Web designing, Internet, Programming and other technology related stuffs. One of their posts on spyware community was also very useful. Do read it too.

It’s not that old blog though; started off just fresh this year on January. They are updating the blog frequently with news and reviews in tech crunches. So, if you are a tech freak then do check it out. If you like what you read you can even subscribe to it for latest updates.

broadband_ahead1.jpgThe pace in which world is moving with technology as its fuel is just furious. If you wait even a while to catch a breath, you’ll be far behind. So, to match up with the fast pace, you have to update yourself regularly with all sort of information. And the future of information technology lies in the hands of Internet. The trend nowadays to communicate, get the latest information and update yourself in any field is via internet. So, internet facility has to be accessible to everyone.

Previously, dial-ups were famous for internet connectivity but it was in the past. People always want more than they can get. They expected more even with internet connection. They wanted high speed connecting, fast browsing, heavy upload and download features. So, with its high bandwidth and high data transfer capacity broadband took over. They are fast, cheaper and you don’t even miss your calls.

main_promo_gav2.gif

A couple of days ago, I was surfing over the internet and there was a broadband provider from UK called BT broadband which was providing wireless broadband for just £8.95 a month. At such cheap price it was providing up to 8Mb download speeds, 24/7 support facility, UK evening & weekend calls were included and it was giving out wireless BT home hub for free. From this it can be imagined how competitive the broadband market is. May be it will be replaced by some other thing in future but presently broadband surely is the best choice for internet.

Once upon a time, the term web meeting invoked images of jerky video, out-of-sync audio, sky-high prices, and system crashes. Slowly but steadily, however, technology has been improving and prices falling. Then came the terrible events of September, 11. In the months since, technology that links people electronically - for example, collaboration solution or online video conferencing - has been gaining popularity, even among people who were critics just a short time ago.

Viewed in light of workers’ reluctance to travel, such technology seems like the knight on the charging white steed come to rescue companies from the dilemma of how to continue with business, while understanding people’s anxieties. Are we sure technology can rescue us? First, we must know how to use it effectively.

Online collaboration solutions allow your employees, customers, and partners to share critical business information with each other from anywhere in the world. Shared collaboration spaces allow participants to perform online collaboration by working together over the internet, sharing applications and documents and even viewing each others desktops with a full control.

So that’s how it works. The technology that saves the World. The brand-new solutions, which can rescue the tragedy. And when you feel secure, you’re ready to work hard. Now it’s clear, that online video conferencing has brought us to the whole new level of collaboration solutions.

Deep Freeze is pretty solid software from Faronics to protect you computer for Virus, Trojans, Spywares, etc. It’s something similar to system restore but not quite same. In the frozen state it works like a shield. The virus, trojans, worms gets attached but when your computer restarts the germs are cleaned and your computer is same as before. I have used this software and I personally recommend this software to internet users especially who are more vulnerable to attacks.

But the one serious problem with this software is that once you have put your computer in a frozen state and if somehow you forgot your password, then you are gone. There is no other alternative than to re-install a new Operation System as you won’t be able to save anything in you computer once in a frozen state. But is this the only alternative. I myself had similar problem as I tend to forget my password and in this case there is no “if you forgot your password, click this link”. Hopefully, there was a solution though. There is an executive file called Deep Freeze Unfreezer which changes the state of Deep Freeze without needing for you to enter you Deep Freeze password. There are 2 versions of this software that you can download from this link http://usuarios.arnet.com.ar/fliamarconato/pages/edeepunfreezer.html depending upon the OS that you have.

yahoo-microsoft-ggcm-may06.jpgIt is official now…Yahoo has rejected Microsoft’s offer. Alas a sigh of relief for Google. The reason – Yahoo finds it too low. As I’ve already mentioned in my previous post, Yahoo was offered $44.6bn (£22.4bn) in cash and shares by the software giant Microsoft to compete with Google. The offer was actually 62% above the level at which Yahoo stocks were trading when it was made on 1 February. But somehow Yahoo’s shares closed on Friday at $29.20. So, it was very much sure that the offer was going to be rejected.

Yahoo said the offer “substantially undervalues” the company and is not in shareholders’ interests.

A source quoted by the Wall Street Journal said that Yahoo’s board would be unlikely to consider anything below $40 per share which would be a 109% premium to the $19.18 closing price of Yahoo’s shares the day before the original offer was announced.

Also the thing to keep in mind is that Yahoo’s shares have not traded above $40 for two years.

Let’s see what Microsoft’s next move is going to be.

Social Networking sites are getting very popular nowadays. Especially youngster and teenagers have been sort of addicted to such websites. Hi5, Facebook, Tagged, are just few in the enormous list of such sites. Anyways, the news is that Facebook which is one of people’s favorite has new introduced a Spanish version of its popular social networking site to attract new viewers. Though Facebook has been very successful in past, still it has been facing tough competition from other similar social networking sites and this might be its way to answer its competitors. The firm has confirmed of having 60% of its 64 million from outside the US and it has several other versions of this site. In future French and German versions have also been expected.

“Our goal has always been to allow people to use Facebook in their native language so we built an application to enable users to participate in translating the site into their local languages and dialects,” said Facebook’s founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg.

I must say that it’s a well planned effort to attract new customers. Let’s see if this could really help them in the competition that is growing in the internet world.

youtub1.jpgHave you heard about YouTube? It’s the world’s largest video sharing website that holds together more than 60 million videos. Recently it has announced its intention to extend its coverage to a larger range of mobile device, in order to allow more than 100 million users to browse the website via their mobile phones. Now onwards YouTube will be accessible from select handsets made by Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and LG, besides the phones that already have YouTube capabilities. All phones must be 3G enabled ones and, in order to avoid high charges, it’s better for users to have unlimited data plans. Note that as stated on the site’s homepage: “YouTube Mobile is a data intensive application”, so high amounts of data are transferred when browsing from a mobile phone.
In addition to expanding the range of mobile phones that can access the site, YouTube is also preparing software that will be embedded into phones like Nokia and Sony Ericsson to enable an easier and direct video upload, in order to rapidly increase the site’s content. The improved Mobile YouTube also brings new stuff, mostly related to personalization features and new community options. YouTube’s mobile-product will have the full YouTube desktop experience on our mobile phones. Of course, limited by the handsets’ screens, which are quite small when compared to a desktop PC display.
However, having access to the most popular video library while on the go is definitely a great thing for most mobile users, and YouTube expects its mobile traffic to increase substantially. Most probably, after the traffic increases, we will see Google ads on the Mobile YouTube site. The YouTube Mobile site with extended phones compatibility will be available in 17 countries and 11 languages, bringing its huge base of videos to more and more mobile users.
